Microelectronics Finland
Microelectronics Finland required an identity that could serve as the single authoritative visual voice for the entire national sector, uniting research institutions, companies, and public bodies under one coherent mark. The core challenge was designing something that felt established without being static, and technical without being inaccessible.
The result is a strict-grid identity applied across web, print communications, and event contexts. The mark itself is derived from a semiconductor layout logic, scalable from screen to exhibition banner, maintaining legibility and weight across every format.
The system has since been used across national industry events, stakeholder reports, and EU-level representation materials, providing a shared visual register for institutions that previously communicated independently. Guidelines were kept deliberately lean so member organisations could apply the identity without a designer in the room.
