This site, tmmakela.com, is the personal portfolio of Tuomas M. Mäkelä, a graphic designer based in Oulu, Finland. This page explains what limited data the site collects when you visit, and how it is used.

What the site collects

The site does not ask you to create an account, and it has no contact forms. If you email the address shown on the site, that message goes straight to my inbox and is not stored by the website.

The site measures basic, anonymous traffic through Cloudflare Web Analytics, so I can see which work people find useful and how the site performs. This covers counts of page views and visits, the pages viewed, the approximate country you visit from, and the type of device and browser you use. It does not identify you or follow you across other sites.

Cookies

The site uses no cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless: it measures visits without storing anything on your device and without building a profile of you, so no cookie consent banner is needed. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies of any kind.

Who processes the data

The anonymous analytics are processed by Cloudflare on my behalf. You can read how Cloudflare handles this in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. The site is served by a third-party hosting provider, which may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and requested files, for security and maintenance.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to ask what data relates to you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its processing. The analytics data the site collects is anonymous and not tied to your name, so I usually cannot identify an individual visitor from it.
