6G Finland White Paper

The 6G Finland roadmap required a publication that could hold its authority with two very different audiences: policymakers who needed clarity and overview, and engineers who needed density and precision. The design challenge was creating a structure that satisfied both without compromising either.

A strict typographic grid organises the technical content into navigable sections, while atmospheric 3D elements provide visual breathing room between dense data sections. The palette and form language were drawn directly from the network topology diagrams at the core of the document, giving the design internal coherence rather than visual decoration imposed from outside.

The published roadmap is now hosted in the University of Oulu open repository and circulates through ministries, research bodies, and the wider European 6G community. The layout was prepared as a print-ready PDF from the start, so the same file works on screen for policy briefings and on paper when a physical copy is needed.
